Born in Little Sutton, Cheshire, England, son of Joseph Robinson and Margaret Davies. Early life and marriage; work as a railroad conductor, 1830; conversion to Mormonism, 1841; immigration to Nauvoo, Illinois, 1842; life in Nauvoo; temple ordinances; exodus west; removal to Burlington, Iowa; journey across the plains, 1849; pioneer life in the Salt Lake Valley; settlement in American Fork, Utah; life in American Fork.
